I am considering replacing my three hybrid with a Tour Border iron-wood (20*). Does anyone take experience with these? Should I pull the trigger on the new HL3, or is the Bazooka Platinum a better option?

Curious. Did they have all the Ironwoods there (from 2 down to the wedges) ?
If so is the design progressive on them (I.e. is the wedges smaller than the 3ironwoid?)
Iceman!
THPer formerly known every bit "markm778"

I was at the PGATSS yesterday and saw a set - I don't think there is much of a difference size between the clubs - if at that place is, it's slight.
They just all look "Forgiving"

ok thanks. that is how the HL1 and 2's were. I thought since the HL3'south are more Altitude/HB like in appearance that maybe they also made the set progressively smaller as y'all got to the higher lofted irons.

I didn't play the irons, Jman did. Merely I know we were both pretty impressed with that the HL3 line had to offering for the price.

I did read your review, thanks. It seems like not many THPer'due south bought and, or, tried these clubs, so non as much player feedback here as found with some other brands-clubs.
My involvement is in trying the iron-wood model in probably an 18* or 20* loft. What are your thoughts on this i as a tee box club. something like a driving atomic number 26 but easier with which to achieve higher trajectory ?

Bout Border: Bazooka Platinum or HL3?
I take the HL3 20* atomic number 26-forest and I merely ordered the 18* which shipped yesterday.
Out of frustration with my hybrids I decided to attempt these. At start I struggled a fleck with the twenty* but it is still way more consequent for me than whatever hybrid or fairway wood off the deck.
The eighteen* is a hazard, but I need the extra distance, and I feel more than confident striking these than the hybrids. And so I'll requite information technology a go.

Bumping an one-time thread.............anyone here accept experience playing these Bout Edge iron-wood style clubs ?
I briefly owned the 6 and seven iron woods terminal year.
The 6i had the KBS 90 R flex steel shaft pick and when I put it on the swing weight scale it was very heavy at a D4. It felt very heavy through the ball for me as well. Ordinarily my 6i plays effectually a C7-C9 range.
As for flight, they do launch hands and normal flight for me was a baby draw. I wanted to love them but I tend to fight a hook and these moved a little bit too far left for me. At the same time I was looking at the G700's which proved to launch college and fly straighter so that is what I ultimately ended upwards with.
For the price though, these are a nice value and definitely are nearly the top in terms of performance when it comes to the SGI offerings out there.

It would be quite good there. If launch is what you need, this has it.

For the upcoming months I will probably buy and try a few driving irons, such as the Tour Edge Ironwood, Ping Crossover, TM UDI, Dynacraft Driving Iron, Srixon U65. It volition be fun to test some different head designs and shafts.

The Ping looks interesting. But I suspect I wouldn't be able to hit it very well.

That Matlby product looks proficient; I especially like that it has interchangeable weights, which is peachy for swing weighting purposes. Thank you for the link.

A friend of mine plays some cute shots , from a diverseness of fairway lies, with the first version of the Ping Crossover. I've swung his Crossover a couple of times and was unable to get much acme trajectory from the club.
My expectation is that IF I like i of the driving irons type clubs it will be for tee box employ only. I don't believe my swing speed and, or, angle of arroyo to bear upon is well suited to play driving irons without the assistance of a tee.
